Melbourne United’s stars have enjoyed a successful weekend across Australia and New Zealand.
At the ‘Sabredome’, the trio of Tanner Krebs, Shea Ili and Tom Koppens put together a well-rounded performance against the Melbourne Tigers, ultimately finishing with a 14-point victory.
Krebs was a standout once again, tallying 31 points on 13/18 shooting from the field. The wing now leads all local players in scoring for the NBL1 South, averaging 24 points per game.
Further south-east, Kyle Bowen helped the Knox Raiders to their second straight 20-plus-point win, this time coming against the Casey Cavaliers.
Bowen filled up the stat sheet in his 24 minutes, grabbing 11 rebounds to go along with six points, five assists and two blocks.
Moving across the ditch, Rob Loe continued his dominant run through the NZNBL, putting together a monstrous 31-point, 18-rebound, five-assist double-double.
Coming in a win over Hawkes Bay, Loe has his Auckland side rolling, having picked up five Ws in a row to put themselves in second place on the competition table.
Equally impressive was Flynn Cameron and the Taranaki Airs, who pulled away from the Franklin Bulls on Saturday night. Cameron had 20 points in the contest, bringing his season average up to 16.8 per game.
